Al-Qaeda elected the Egyptian Ayman Al-Zawahiri as its new leader

June 16, 2011: As reported by a statement the general command of al-Qaeda, “The Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahiri is their new leader. “
Al-Zawahiri, 59, will now replace Osama Bin Laden, who died in May during a raid in Pakistan. “
Organization said that “Sheikh al-Zawahiri, ‘God will lead, take responsibility’ as emir to lead the group.”
Al-Zawahiri, who founded al-Qaida with bin Laden, has long served as second in command and was the “operational brains was behind the Sept. 11 attacks in America.”
After the death of Bin Laden, the FBI put to Zawahiri first in its list of most wanted.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $ 25 million for information leading to the capture of an Egyptian doctor.
