Young girl survives shark bite

June 2, 2011: According to U.S. media reports, “The girl, Kori Robertson, 22, was in the waters of Follett’s Island, near Surfside Beach, Texas, about 50 yards offshore when she felt pain in her right thigh. She got out quickly, but never saw the animal that bit her. The wound leaves no doubt that it was a shark.”

The media added that “Kori Robertson spoke what happened on Tuesday: ‘Suddenly I felt a tug and a bite … I had to take my foot and I thought I had to leave the water immediately’.”

“I was very lucky, there are people who lost their legs, and these are cuts on my skin, I’ll be lucky to walk. Even if the wound becomes infected, it will be just a scar.”
