“Governments can not invent something that has no logic or support in society”

The president, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, speaking at the joint luncheon held between the delegation of Argentina and Mexican officials. “Latin America is called to be one of the major players in the XXI Century,” she said.
“We are here to reaffirm once again something that is more than a tradition, rather than a place or protocol, which is the sincere and deep friendship between both of our peoples. Governments can not invent anything that has no logical support or society,” the president said.
“We talked about the profound challenges that we who have the responsibility to govern have ahead on this Latin America, the America that is called to be one of the major players in the XXI Century,” she said.
“We have what is already a growing demand in the world, from food, energy, minerals. We make it a region that is going to be leading, “said Cristina.
