Tomada: “The masses show the need to ratify the continuity of the model”

Argentina, May 21, 2011

Carlos Tomada, current Minister of Labor of the Nation and candidate for head of the Government of the City with Daniel Filmus, said that “the masses show in different ways the need to ratify the continuity of the model and the president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner “and that the people have “the widespread desire for the re-election of the Head of State”.

He said that “there is a clear desire to continue down this road started in 2003 to deepen it” and said that “it is a curious fact, because the option is not continuity versus change.”

The minister said that “we cannot deny a rural worker the right to strike and collective bargaining, as well as enjoying less days off than any other employee, and therefore not worth any possible reason”.

With regard to the situation of rural workers “was launched a very strong campaign against exploitation in this sector”.

He also spoke about the Audiovisual Communication Services Law, but regretted that the news of labor exploitation still “do not appear in the mainstream media”.
