Brazil allows the entrance of thousand Argentine cars

May 20, 2011.- The Brazilian government allowed the entry of thousand Argentine cars stopped at the border yesterday releasing the surprise lock which caused the implementation of non-automatic licensing (LNA) on the import of vehicles in that country.

Argentina in turn pledged to the authorization to import batteries and tires from Brazil.

Sources of the Industry Ministry led by Debora Giorgi said that “this was the gesture that Argentina had asked to sit down and negotiate” with Brazil.

In this framework, the sources said the next Monday and Tuesday meeting, between Secretary of Industry Eduardo Bianchi, and his Brazilian counterpart, Alessandro Teixeira, will take place in a more relaxed atmosphere.
