Stunning images of the sun
May 12, 2011.- NASA has released stunning photos of the sun, with a quality that exceeds 10 times the image of high definition television.
The shots were taken from the Solar Dynamics Observatory where NASA is working with University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to discover the mysteries of our star.
In order to do it, scientists observe in detail both the magnetic field and its corona, as never before accomplished.
UCLan is one of the most important central in Europe that provides images continuously of the atmosphere, surface and interior of the sun.
