New medical health report of Gustavo Cerati

BUENOS AIRES, May 11, 2011.- Gustavo Cerati’s family issued a new statement on the singer’s official website where it expresses a deep appreciation for the widespread support after a year of the stroke he suffered in Venezuela.

“A few days after the first anniversary of Gustavo stroke, we want to share with you information about his state and thank all medical institutions and professionals for the care provided,” the letter says.

The family appreciated the displays of affection nationally and internationally. “We know of many demonstrations of affection and appreciation daily, Gustavo fans and colleagues carried out in our country and around the world”.

“We appreciate the warmth, support and the respect that is treated him and his work, as well as ongoing support we receive. It is comforting and gives us encouragement,” the family added.

It was also published the medical report signed by Dr. Gustavo Barbalace, who is medical director of the Alcla Clinic.

“The patient Gustavo Adrian Cerati continues admitted to the clinic stable, with no neurological changes, with proper nutritional parameters and without acute intercurrents, persisting with mechanical ventilation and maintaining a plan of gradual disengagement from the ventilator. He continues with his usual treatment plan, working in different areas of rehabilitation.”
