San Juan, the governor can be reelected twice

May 9, 2011.- This Sunday, the population of San Juan province went to the polls to decide a constitutional amendment, which allowed a third term of Gioja governor.
The percentages were 65.9% for the ‘Yes’ and 34% for the ‘No’.
This was the first referendum in the province to ratify the governor to be reelected twice. Now, the current governor José Luis Gioja is enabled for this year to be a candidate for governor for third time.
Mr. Gioja spoke from the headquarters of the PJ, around 9 pm saying, “I will not make caravans or large events.”
“Today, May 8 is a historic day in San Juan. There should be no interest that is above San Juan people.”
It was reported that he spoke with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, and he added “San Juan people want she became president of all Argentines again.”
