Prince Williams and Kate wedding

April 29, 2011.- Today Kate is Catherine, after she said ‘yes, I do’ in Westminster Abbey, a church filled with history. At least 38 kings and queens were crowned here since 1066, and is the final resting place of 17 monarchs.

Prince Williams is second in line of succession to the British crown, he marries his girlfriend Kate Middleton. He met her when both were studying at Saint Andrews University (Scotland) and are together about eight years ago .

When on November 16, 2010, it was announced the engagement from Clarence House, Kate Middleton showed the blue ring with sapphires and diamonds through which the prince asked her marriage and that belonged to Diana of Wales, known as Lady Di, mother of Williams.

Kate Middleton was born in Reading, daughter of Carole Elizabeth Goldsmith, a flight attendant, and Michael Francis Middleton, a flight dispatcher. She has three brothers. In 1987 her parents founded the company Party Pieces, a mail order business selling goods and decorations for parties and events.

Yesterday, the Prince and his fiancée attended the Westminster Abbey for the last rehearsal of their wedding ceremony, which will take place in minutes, and it is decorated for the occasion with specially selected trees and flowers.
The trial included the bride’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, who were staying at the luxurious Goring in London, from where Kate comes out to go to the abbey.
Her sister Philippa will be the maid of honor, and his brother James is also present. Prince Henry is the groom best man.
The ceremony is officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Primate of the Anglican Church, Rowan Williams, who married the couple, and Rev. Richard Chartres addressed the congregation.


Hours of marriage Queen Elizabeth II named her grandson William Duke of Cambridge and her fiancée Kate Middleton received the title of Duchess of Cambridge, which took effect after the marriage.

Elton John came to the abbey with his partner David Furnish. The singer was a close friend of William’s mother, Princess Diana, and sang “Candle In the Wind” at her funeral in 1997.
