Sanz put aside his presidential aspirations
BUENOS AIRES, April 28, 2011.- Senator Ernesto Sanz reported that he abandoned his presidential bid of Radical Civic Union (UCR), leaving Ricardo Alfonsin as the only candidate of the party.
“Given that Ricardo Alfonsin is the reference most likely supporter, I decided to stop being a competitor and allow him to represent the whole radicalism,” the congressman said in a statement.
“For months, I have fought for the UCR is not locked in a tiny alliance, but it head up a strong, broad coalition. (…) It’s time to strengthen that decision then providing more than my vision. To build a comprehensive and reliable alternative to radicalism must be displayed without divisions and fragmentation, “he added.
Thus, the political map is re-accommodating now we have to wait the decision of Mauricio Macri, whether to comply with the Buenos Aires City or running for president. Yesterday a picture with Oscar Aguad leaves some clues.
