Cobos acknowledged that today “Cristina wins the election”

SAN LUIS, April 23, 2011.- Vice President Julio Cobos acknowledged the leadership of the President in the polls, to admit that if the election were held today, Cristina wins.

“Today, Cristina wins the elections, although we havr to see what happens later as this country is very cyclothymic and politics is very dynamic,” Cobos said in an interview with the a journal from San Luis.

On the other hand, once again he criticized the proclamation of Ricardo Alfonsin as presidential candidate by the UCR, although added he “respect” the measure and “look ahead”.

“The party defined a candidate who wasn´t official or organic because the resolution says only ‘candidate’,” the official said.

He assures that in terms of electoral alliances, radicalism depends on what will happen with Hermes Binner on May 22. “If the governor of Santa Fe wins and Pino Solanas competes in Buenos Aires City, Binner can then become the benchmark of Project South and then I do not know if Margaret Stolbitzer, socialism and the South project would form an alliance.”

With regard to Mauricio Macri and Federal Peronism (PF), Cobos used the words “doubts and uncertainties”, as the leader of the PRO does not know whether to compete in the nation or in Buenos Aires city and PF has a scandalous internal election between Eduardo Duhalde and Alberto Rodriguez Saa.
