Cristina Kirchner: “We are not election promises”

The President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, speaking at the inauguration of public works in cities across the province of Santiago del Estero. “We committed not to leave the convictions at the door of Government House,” she said.

Speaking via teleconference, Kirchner said: “We are not campaign promises. It was necessary to demonstrate that politics could govern and manage the state’s resources to benefit all sectors.”

The president stated that “the only commitment that we always assume was not to leave the convictions on the door of Government House.” “The people suffered and too many betrayals, disappointments and frustrations,” she added.
