Cristina suspends official agenda after suffering low blood pressure

BUENOS AIRES, April 12, 2011.- President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner suffered hypotension and had to suspend her official agenda.

An official statement was released by the Presidential Medical Unit which states that “the President of the Nation, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner had on the date a picture of hypotension, for which she was told to rest for 24 hours, continuing evolutionary control.”

Consequently, the president was forced to suspend all official activities, which included an event in Vicente López and an interview with Salta Governor Juan Manuel Urtubey.

It remains to see if the trip to Mexico which is scheduled for next Thursday will be realized or if Cristina should do more rest because of this episode.
