James Dean and his personal life by Elizabeth Taylor
United States, March 26, 2011
In the U.S. was revealed an interview with Elizabeth Taylor 14 years ago. The interviewer did not publish it until the death of the actress, in a pact he made with her.
Kevin Sessums gave the details in the publication of “The Daily Beast” in an interview he did to the actress at her home in Bel Air (Los Angeles) in 1997.
At that time the actress confessed “I loved Jimmy. I’ll tell you something, but it is ‘off the record’ (statements that cannot be published or be attributed to the person who performs them until the person dies)” Taylor died at age 79 due to heart failure last Wednesday.
“When Jimmy was 11 and his mother died, he was abused by the pastor of the the church. I think that pursued him for the rest of his life. In fact, I know it was. We talked a lot about it” she said. The actress shared scenes with Dean in “Giant” (1956) directed by George Stevens.
“For ‘Giant’ we spent many nights talking and talking, and that was one of the things he told me” she said.
