Truckers will go on strike due to the Swiss request on Moyano

City of Buenos Aires, March 17, 2011

The press secretary of the Truckers guild, Eduardo Altamirano, announced a “nationwide” strike for Monday “to repudiate the continuing attacks on fellow Hugo Moyano.”

“We are tired of false allegations and so many lies, ” Altamirano said in a press conference sparked by the Swiss request of reports on the legal proceedings against Hugo and Pablo Moyano, leaders of the guild.

The press secretary criticized “some media that attack with no credible information” and said that “from now on, we will go to doors with 10, 20 000 employees” for them to report “truthfully.”

Thus, starting at 6 am on Monday (except for transport fuel, which will be from 00:00) truckers will cease all activities. They will concentrate at 10 and head to the Plaza de Mayo and perform an act.
