Libya: The rebels are preparing to confront the forces loyal to Gaddafi

March 4, 2011.- Rebel spokesmen reported, “We are prepared to face a new attack by the forces loyal to the Gaddafi government.”
According to one of the rebels at the port of Zawiya, west of Tripoli, “the forces opposed to Gaddafi had been launching counterattacks.”
He added that “a Libyan fighter aircraft dropped its bombs outside the perimeter of a military base in the hands of rebels at Ajdabiya city, northeast of the country.”
Government aircraft bombed the walls near the military base in the city of Ajdabiya, in eastern Libya, which is an important arsenal and is in the hands of opposition groups, but could not reach it.
Faraj Hassan, a volunteer opposition to monitor the array base Haniyeh said “We were sitting when we heard the plane and then the explosion, which caused an earthquake,” “The bombs struck just outside the walls of the base.”
