Autopsy without opening the body

March 2, 2011.- A group of British scientists at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, create ‘a new method for performing autopsies and determine causes of death, without open the body.’
This new technique will allow specialists to perform the procedure “through a CT scanner and a small incision in the neck of the deceased.”
Experts explain that “Through the incision, air and ink is injected to the heart, and they proceeds to make a detailed examination that will reveal whether or not there was any heart disease. The scanner also can detect signs of trauma, fractures and cancer.”
The scientists said that “non-invasive method could be more profitable and cause less suffering to the families than conventional autopsy.”
