The ruling party hopes to regain the presidency of three Senate committees

On this day, party block heads discussed at the meeting of Parliamentary Labor, in which they agreed as the preparatory meeting will be held this afternoon, confirming the authorities of the Senate.
Miguel Angel Pichetto, leader of the Kirchnerism in the Senate, said he will try to regain the presidency in three key committees for 2011. He further explained that his block will support José Pampuro as provisional president of the body.
“In the last quarter of 2010 the balance of forces changed almost completely and the Front for Victory has a majority, so today we made a written submission to get this issue solved and corrected, otherwise, we will raise it to the parliament in March 16,” the senator said.
Pichetto clarified that the Commission addressed are on Constitutional Affairs, Budget and Agreements, in which “the ruling has six senators, against nine of the opposition.”
