Switzerland, February 9, 2011

Argentina and Portugal drew 1-1 on the Geneve Stadium in Switzerland. Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi were the scorers.

The first goal was a great move by Barcelona’s players, starting on the right, dribbling and assisting Di Maria, who has praised the move by the high speed and excellent definition, like Maradona against Italy in 1986 World Cup.

The Portuguese got the tie after the Argentine defense was unable to dominate. Cristiano Ronaldo appeared along ahead goalkeeper Romero: 1-1.

Messi had a new chance at 33 with a free kick, but his left-footed shot bounced off the barrier.

At the beginning of the second half Portugal tried a little more and came closer to Argentine’s goal. At 48 Almeida’s header hit the crossbar. The ball was left to Ronaldo, but his shot went over the crossbar.

The game was defined in the last minute and another debutant, ‘El Burrito’ Martinez, would be starring. Coentrao tackled him down in the area and Busacca whistled. Messi, knowing it could be a hero or villain, defined with category. Once again, we had won the duel with his silent enemy.
