Two spacecraft were located on both sides of the Sun

February 7, 2011.- NASA reported on Sunday that “two U.S. spacecraft were placed in diametrically opposite points to the Sun to study how it affects the flow of matter and energy solar to Earth.

The spacecraft had reached the point where the Sun is exactly between them. This provides the first 360-degree view of the star.

Solar probes known as the STEREO from Terrestrial Relations Observatory were launched in 2006.

With guidance from the Board of the American Science Mission space agency in Washington, the solar program is the third mission of NASA.
