In another show of “total football”, Barcelona defeated Racing Santander 3-0 at Camp Nou Stadium in La Liga. Messi scored a goal and made an assist. His mother, who the football world should be grateful, got a surprise for her birthday.

Messi assisted Pedro in the second minute of the match and the Spanics took advantage to open the scoring.

At minute 33 Villa was fouled in the area and Messi wen for revenge (on Wednesday he had missed one against Betis for Copa del Rey). This time he defined against the goalkeeper’s left post. To celebrate, the Golden Ball dedicated the goal to his mother on her birthday. “Happy birthday, Mom,” read the inscription on the red shirt, in Spanish.

In the second half and with the match absolutely dominated, Iniesta closed the final score for Guardiola’s team.

With the victory, Barcelona advantages Real Madrid for seven points (Real Madrid plays tomorrow against Mallorca). The ‘Blaugrana’ has tremendous numbers: 55 points in the league and 50 goals in the last 12 games. In addition, Lionel Messi has scored 72 goals in the last 72 games.
