Duhalde: “There are fools who believe that the order is from right-wing government”
Argentina, January 21, 2011.- Presidential candidate for the Federal Peronist Eduardo Duhalde said that those who believe that “bring order” in the country, responding to a right-wing politic are “idiots.”
“There are fools who believe that the order is from right-wing politic. There are no leftist countries from that are disordered. From totalitarian regimes to socialists or social democrats, everybody placed order. Chile with its leftist government and Uruguay with Mujica bring order. The order is substantial for the democratic system,” the former president said.
He added: “We can not continue to live with crime wave. It is arranged in 6 months or a year. It must be addressed; all the mayors in the country, all the governors must work for this. They have to find out how many kids who committed crimes are free. There is no data on that.”
Duhalde was added to the controversy of the low age of criminal responsibility of minors, saying that “juvenile murderers can not be in the street. They should be treated in military barracks by sociologists and psychologists. This is not just a matter of national government, but there must be a plan for the future. And here no one knows, because it is a messy country.”
In addition, the former president criticized the cabinet of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. “There is no cabinet,” he said. “The first thing to put order on is the institutional aspect, because then you can order everything down. There is no cabinet, because there are never meetings with ministers. There must be a team ready to know what to do.”
And finally he gave some harsh words for Aníbal Fernández: “I do not know why they care so much for me. Why do they attack me if they say that I have no electoral chance? Why is dealing with me this guy who became a poodle.”
