George Clooney has malaria

United States, January 20, 2011

American actor George Clooney caught malaria during his last trip to Sudan. This was confirmed by the actor himself in an interview.

The journalist Piers Morgan had given the news with a tweet during the taping of his program, which airs tomorrow night.

“George Clooney has contracted malaria after a recent trip to Sudan,” Morgan tweeted.

Then, the reporter learned that this is actually the second time the actor has the disease.

Later, the same actor spoke about his illness and said he is well and recovering, and even encouraged to reflect on health systems in not developed countries.

“This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad ten days instead of a death,” Clooney said.

The actor had traveled to Sudan last month to work with the U.N. on trying to prevent new fighting from breaking out in the war torn country.
