The founder of ‘The Zetas’ arrested in Mexico

Mexico, January 18, 2011.- Flavio Mendez Santiago, alias “El Amarillo”, one of the founders of the cartel Los Zetas was arrested by Federal Police.

The dangerous criminal was engaged in alien smuggling and drug movement in southern Mexico and Guatemala.

“El Amarillo” was one of 37 most wanted criminals in Mexico, according to Edward Pequeño, head of the Narcotics Division of the Federal Police, who also noted that the authorities were offering a reward for his capture of about $ 1.2 million.

The criminal was arrested in Villa Etla town, in Oaxaca State, on Monday. And beside him his personal escort Carlos Alejandro Rodríguez Cepeda was also arrested.
