Timerman: Cristina is “natural candidate for 2011″
Argentina, December 5, 2010.- Argentine Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman said President Cristina Fernandez is “natural candidate” for 2011, because “she will express the will of the people.”
It is not the first time that the minister speaks in these terms about the candidacy of Cristina Fernandez, as the October 28, during former President Néstor Kirchner wake, he had expressed this idea.
This time, though he said he had not spoken with the president on this issue, he believes “she is the natural candidate of the Peronist movement.”
“I do not see any other candidate. Cristina is the right person. That day (when Néstor Kirchner died) people on the street said ‘Thank you Nestor, Cristina go on’, well, the leaders will never go against the popular movements” the minister added.
In this regard he said: “The President will express the will of the people.”
On the other hand, Timerman said about the XX Ibero-American Summit that it was “a reflection of the integration process of Argentina and America that go to where ever they come.”
The most important issue addressed by the representatives, in his view, was “the revaluation of democracy, because after this year no Latin American forum accept a coup.”

I am PROUD that Christina supported FOOD FOR THE PEOPLE of Argentina.
I am PROUD of Hector Timerman for supporting Palestine.
I am PROUD of Argentina’s stance on these issues and hope Christina remains a fighter – all the way. GO GIRL GO!
