Campaign against child violence launched throught Facebook
November 27, 2010
In the social network Facebook began a campaign to reject violence against children, which consists in changing the image of user profiles for a cartoon of the childhood.
The vast majority of people joined the campaign, and put pictures of characters from Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Garfield, Fairly OddParents, among others.
The text of the campaign that was written in Facebook says “November 22 to November 29, change your profile picture on Facebook, for a cartoon of your childhood. Why is this? To see only cartoons until Monday on Facebook, to create an invasion of memories of a well spent childhood to join the fight against child violence”.
It is clear that the situation violence against children and child labor will not be reversed by putting cartoon pictures on Facebook, is a way of promoting social awareness to take further actions to change the situation.

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
and what is the outcome of the campaign?
did it, at the very least help in minimizing violence against children?
what is the essence of the campaign?
Like your comment.
I mean I liked your comment.
The outcome was that it brought the ISSUE into the MEDIA…into our minds…to the children…to let them know WE KNOW violence exists.
Abuse and silence go hand in hand.
This was a passive campaign that has reminded the world (the facebook world) and the media that not enough is being done against child violence.
It was a great success in bringing the issue into the international spotlight.
Bravo !!
i will support facebook campaign violence against children
