Globovision president sought asylum in the United States
Venezuela, November 25, 2010.- In an interview with CNN in Spanish, Venezuelan Globovisión media group president Guillermo Zuloaga indicted for conspiracy in Venezuela, confirmed that he applied for asylum in the United States.
He also denied that in a meeting that he attended last week at the Capitol in Washington there were made plans to destabilizing Venezuela as president Hugo Chávez said.
Chavez on Saturday accused President Globovisión of ‘being behind a plan to assassinate him.”
On Wednesday, through a television program President Chavez accused the United States, specifically the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), of ‘harboring a fugitive from justice.’
