Olimpo and Argentinos Jrs tied 1-1 in Bahia Blanca

Olimpo and Argentinos tied 1-1 in Bahia Blanca. The goals were scored by Aguirre for the locals and Niell for the visitors, Olimpo continues in the relegation zone.

Olimpo had to win and now is tighter in the relegation zone, so needed the victory in the match.

Argentinos came from three consecutive victories against All Boys, Boca and San Lorenzo.

In the first half, the team from Bahia Blaca had clearer goal situations, but missed some chances and Navarro blocked repeated attempts on goal.

The defender Miguel Torres was injured, so had to be replaced by Recalde and Argentinos defended with four men, instead of their classical tactics with three.

Already in the second half Olimpo went to achieve the victory, Argentinos could only defend in their field and speculated with the counterattack.

At 17 minutes Aguirre scored and Olimpo went ahead 1-0.

So they retreated to defend the goal and played to fight back.

But at 35 minutes, ten minutes before the end of the match, Niell tied it with an excellent kick and set the final result.
