Misiones: Five rugby players died in a tragic accident

Five San Miguel club rugby players have died in a tragic accident in Misiones, when the car they were traveling to a tournament in Iguazú Falls was misled, crashed into a wall and caught fire.
The vehicle was traveling on National Highway 12 to the height of the town Puerto Piray in Misiones. The young men, who traveled to depute a Seven tournament of rugby, died burned.
Club president Daniel Casado expressed “dismay and sadness” for the accident. “It’s a sad loss not only for the club but for the whole sport. I had direct touch with them. All five were excellent people and performed exemplary work.”
It is still unclear the circumstances under which the Chevrolet Astra, number JDR 327 was misled, and crashed against a wall, causing instant death of the rugby players.
The police chief of Puerto Piray, Leonardo Viera, ruled out the intervention of another car in the tragic accident, after first skills.
The victims were identified as Máximo Pablo Taborda, Alejandro Gastón Arias, Mariano Falcón and the twins Juan Pablo and Juan Manuel Ligorria
Following the accident, organizers of the Seven of Puerto Iguazú suspended the completion of the tournament.
