The “Viceroy” broke his silence to talk about Superclásico River-Boca, Lionel Messi, and its decision not to run any team.
In the ESPN website, Carlos Bianchi said: “I think (the derby) will be a fairly even match. The two come from being defeated. Boca Juniors is more formed as a team, but all classic are a different story, where backgrounds don’t count. All I want is to see a beautiful game.”
The former coach of Boca Juniors also discussed the return of Riquelme and its impact on the team. “Roman is important in any team, he has great qualities that makes him a rare find,” he said.
Regarding the situation of River Plate, Bianchi said, “I can not imagine River being relegated, since such a large team has the resources to stay on top with this system which includes a three-year average.”
The “Viceroy” also provided comments on “La Pulga”. He said: “Messi is ready to be the best ever. At club level, none has got more than what he did at his age. I think that only he knows his limits.”
Finally, Bianchi spoke about the possibility of him coaching a team. “At this point in my life I have other priorities and to coach again is not the first” said the former manager of Boca and added “I am not able to accept some situations I should accept being in the Argentina National Team.”
