Buenos Aires: Taxis to rise 20% in the nights
Buenos Aires, November 11, 2010
The Buenos Aires Legislature approved the project for taxis to rise by 20% between 10pm and 6am.
One of the arguments for adopting the rule is that taxi drivers circulating in these hours are more prone to accidents and robberies.
The head of the Committee on Traffic and Transportation, Claudio Palmeyro, was one of the initiators of the bill, which would begin to take effect from February 2011.
