Fatal accident kills 13 in Santiago del Estero province
Argentina, November 3, 2010.- A bus overturned by a burst tire at around 4:30 am this Wednesday on route 176, between Campo Grande and San Ramon Town in Pellegrini district leaving 13 people death.
The fatal accident killed 13 and several were injured to varying degrees and were hospitalized in the province of Tucumán.
Officer Luna from police station 32 of Nueva Esperanza Town said to Panorama Radio “the tragic incident occurred at 4:30 am on Wednesday,” and “many people had to be transferred to medical centers of Tucumán province.”
According to Luna, “the bus passenger was full, since at that time it had already picked up several people from various localities of Pellegrini disctrict.”
The bus of San Jose Company, which had left Boqueron bound for Santiago del Estero capital suffered a front tire blowout, situation that caused the rollover.
The crash site is 40 kilometers south of Nueva Esperanza city.
