Boudou: “We are working hard to increase investment”
Argentina, November 3, 2010
The national economy minister, Amado Boudou, participated in the First International Congress of Government Control, where he provided financial statements on Argentina.
Boudou said: “Today inflation is not a matter of large portions in Argentina’s population,” adding that “maybe those who are concerned are some members of the upper middle class.”
The Minister said that while this is so, his ministry is “working hard to increase investment, which is the only solution” to a problem that could grow if no controls are established.
Boudou said at the conference organized by the Comptroller General’s Office (SIGEN) that state control “should not become a tool to not do, but to do better.”
Regarding the 2011 budget, Boudou said “we hope that it is discussed very quickly and rationality, because we have shown, with the last seven budgets that were appropriate for the country to grow and exit the crisis that was lived in 2002″.
