Fatal crash accident in Cordoba: 9 killed and 7 seriously injured

A tragic accident occurred on Cordoba-Villa Maria Highway at kilometer 655. At least 9 people died and seven people are injured, some of them in serious condition.

It happened at 8:15 AM. Between 13 and 15 vehicles collided in chain due to strong wind gusts at 80 mph.

Among the nine people who died in this fatal accident, four of them are men, three women and two children. Five of the seven injured are being treated now at the hospital in Laguna Larga, while one woman was taken to another clinic in the City, and one of the injured was taken to the Hospital Privado de Córdoba.

Diego Bechis, mayor of the town of Pilar, were the accident happened, said that this is a “very painful” moment.

“It was an impressive cloud of dust that wouldn’t let you see even one meter. Some cars were unrecognizable,” said Bechis, who lamented the death of other children.
