José Mujica arrived in Argentina: “It is true that the river separates us, but it also unites us”

The president of Uruguay, Jose “Pepe” Mujica, arrived in the country to give a final farewell to Néstor Kirchner and his condolences to the President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. He was accompanied by the leaders of the Uruguayan opposition.

Pepe Mujica arrived in Argentina and said “we want to convey our solidarity with the people of Argentina and Mrs. President.”

Also, the President of Uruguay strongly emphasized he was accompanied by Senators Tabaré Viera (Partido Colorado) and Jorge Larrañaga (National Party), and the president of the Independent Party, Pablo Mires, because “all of Uruguay” is in solidarity with this moment of Argentina.

“It is true that the river separates us, but it also unites us” said Mujica finally to summarize his and his compatriots’ presence in representation of all Uruguay.
