FIFA announces candidates for Golden Ball

October 26, 2010.- This Tuesday, the International Federation of Associated Football (FIFA) gave the names of 23 players who are candidates for Golden Ball award, which will be presented in January.

Latin America: Argentine Lionel Messi, Uruguayan Diego Forlan and Brazilian Julio Cesar, Maicon and Daniel Alves.

Spanish: from the team that won the World Cup 2010, Xabi Alonso, Iker Casillas, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol, David Villa.

And Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, the Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan, the German Miroslav Klose, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller, Mesud Özil and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Dutch winger Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder.
