The Spanish player who suffered a heart attack cannot play football again

Salamanca, October 25, 2010

Salamanca midfielder, Miguel García Tebar, who yesterday suffered a stroke in the middle of a match against Betis, cannot play football again.

“He was dead 25 seconds,” the club doctor, Jose Ignacio Garrido, told.

For that reason, Baltasar Sánchez, sports director, said they tried to make García Tebar see that “after what we experienced yesterday at the stadium Helmántico, not to return to play again is not bad at all.”

“His first reaction was pain, but with resignation,” told doctors at Salamanca Hospital.

Miguel Ángel García Tebar suffered a heart attack at minute 57 (see note with video). Thanks to the quick intervention of doctors from both clubs, he saved his life.
