Obama speaks Spanish to reach Latinos

In an effort to gain support from the Latino population, the Democratic Party announced that it will spend $1 million on advertisements in Spanish.

The advertisements will feature U.S. President Barack Obama speaking Spanish as he encourages voters to support his Democratic party. This is the largest amount of money the Democrat Party has spent on Spanish-language advertisements.

One ad says: “This is Barack Obama,” Obama says in Spanish during one radio ad. “I need you by my side. Help me defend what we started. This November 2, raise your voice. And together we’ll continue to move forward.”

The Hispanic vote is crucial for the Democratic Party to win the House majority in the upcoming fall elections.
