Angelina Jolie and James Cameron would do an adaptation of “Cleopatra”
United States, October 15, 2010
Angelina Jolie stated that, when she was doing Salt, she would like too play the role of Cleopatra, but only if she finds the right team to do it.
She also said “I would be honored. I’m fascinated with her and all the mysteries around, but we haven’t written a script yet, so we’ll see if it is good enough and we’ll try to make it”.
Deadline reported that the actress is planning to do it with the director of Avatar, James Cameron.
It was also reported that James Cameron is discussing with Sony Pictures to direct the movie version of Cleopatra, based on the book of Stacy Schiff called “Cleopatra: A Life”.
“Jolie, physically, has the perfect look” declared Schiff.
It is still a rumor, but y may come true because the makers think that Jolie has to be in the role, and if Cameron signs the movie could be a reality. The first thoughts were not good, but then they thought about it and now it may be insanely cool.
The world is expecting to see how Cameron and Jolie would work together. Cameron is well known for being a great movie maker and Jolie wouldn’t accept to be in the movie of Cleopatra directed by any other director.
