Racing players assaulted by hooligans

Avellaneda, October 14, 2010

Following the defeat against Independiente in Avellaneda derby, Racing Club hooligans bullied the players after training today.

Midfielder Braian Lluy suffered the ‘scratch’ of his car when leaving. And Claudio Bieler had been attacked, and the striker responded with insults to hooligans.

Coach Miguel Angel Russo tried to calm things down and said the violence “is within the normal and natural things that I lived in clubs.” Let’s recall that during his work in Los Andes, Russo had even been threatened with death.

Racing is looking to bounce back from the defeat in the derby against Argentinos Juniors on Sunday, on the 11th stage of Argentine Apertura.
