Buenos Aires taxis increase their rates

Buenos Aires, October 8, 2010

Taxi rates in Buenos Aires will rise next weekend. The initial price will pass from 4.60 to 5.2 pesos, while the tab will go from 46 to 52 cents.

No users were present at the public hearing that discussed the new increase. Since 2003, taxis have increased their prices nine times.

It is expected that by late November or early December, a new tab increase at 56 cents and initial rate at 5.80 pesos.
