In 2013 the Earth would be paralyzed by solar flare, NASA says

September 22, 2010.- NASA warns that a massive solar flare could paralyze the Earth. Sun flares increase the level of radiation and this would collapse the satellite transmissions.

The solar storm could lead to chaos on Earth in three years with widespread blackouts, cutting internet and all communication systems.

The aircraft traffic would be paralyzed and with them food and people transport, telephone communications, chaos-like Hollywood movies. This is the scenario that NASA predicts.

Defense Secretary Liam Fox called for an urgent conference to “alert about the vulnerability of the electricity grid, one that will be most affected.”

This phenomenon would have the same effect as the explosion of 100 hydrogen bombs damaged 20 times greater than that left by Katrina Hurricane.

In June, scientists gathered in Washington to address “how to protect Earth from the flares launched by the Sun.”

NASA maintains the alert and has a dozen satellites to study the threat and assess the consequences.
