Concern over Rio de la Plata flooding by Sudestada

The Argentine National Meteorological Service (SMN in Spanish) anticipated “sustained winds of Southeast” for much of today and tomorrow, with gusts exceeding 60 km/h in Buenos Aires city a close areas. A major flood is feared in Rio de la Plata river.
The Naval Hydrographic Service informed that today and the early hours of tomorrow, “the Rio de la Plata will be 2.70 meters on top of table values.”
However, a point of concern for residents, is that the level will be rising at midnight, reaching 3.60 meters in La Plata, 3.70 in Buenos Aires and 4.10 in San Fernando and Tigre.
