A little smile for Batista: Puyol will not play against Argentina

Sergio Batista has a star less to worry about. Spanish defender Carles Puyol suffered a strain in his left calf, and will therefore miss out on playing a friendly against Argentina next Wednesday.

The contracture in the calf of his left leg, grade two, happened during a training session of Spain and gravely concerned coach Vicente Del Bosque, who now must find a replacement on the defense.

On Tuesday 7 September, “The Fury” will face Argentina, who seemed to have solved their internal problems with the support of the players to “Checho” Batista in his post as coach.
