Angelina Jolie will star as Marilyn Monroe and George Clooney as Frank Sinatra

Andrew O’Hagan, author of several books about the life of Marilyn Monroe, confessed in the Edinburgh Book Festival that Angelina Jolie would star as the blonde Hollywood actress and George Clooney, would star as a close friend of Marilyn, Frank Sinatra, and that the filming will begin soon.

There were also proposed for the role, Scarlett Johansson and Christina Hendricks but finally was decided that it would Angelina the right choice.

O’Hagan’s argument tells about the last two years of the actress before her death in 1962, through the perspective of her pet, a Maltese terrier named Maf, gift of Frank in 1960. By the moment is unknown who will record the voice of the dog in the Hollywood adaptation.

The dog was inherited by Gloria Lovell, secretary of Sinatra, when Marilyn died at her 36 years old.
