Biolcati’s speech for the Rural Society

In the 124th Exhibition of the Rural Society of Palermo, at the official opening, the President Hugo Biolcati, in a tough speech that lasted about 40 minutes, criticized the government due to the levels of “poverty and corruption.”

In the official visit he was accompanied by politicians, diplomats, representatives of the agricultural sector and entrepreneurs, including the mayor of the city, Mauricio Macri, who was applauded when he entered the stage, former President Eduardo Duhalde , who was cheered when he was introduced, the general secretary of the union of rural workers, Geronimo Venegas, and members of the Liaison Committee but there was no official of the National Government.

The chief of staff, Aníbal Fernández, through its website, disapproved in the strongest terms the president of the Rural Society and the politicians who attended.

Biolcati in his speech said: “In the Centennial we were the world’s breadbasket and one of the most prosperous nations on the planet. The Bicentennial finds us as a country battered by corruption, lack of foresight, exclusion and poverty.”

“Since the second half of the twentieth century, disputes, external constraints, the six dictatorships that replaced constitutional governments, the obscene public debt and some misguided privatizations destroyed the things that were built till that time.”
