LAN pilots’ strike creates havoc in Aeroparque
Aeroparque is a mess for those who plan to take a flight from LAN, due to a strike by pilots who demand the abolition of certain clauses in hiring new staff.
According to vice president of the Association of Airline Pilots (APLA), Pablo Biro, the strike began at 10:30 am and it is possible that should extend to all airlines in the country.
Mr. Biro said that pilots require that these measures are modified because they violate the provisions of Articles 14a and 16 of the Constitution.
LAN reserves the right to analyze the union background of applicants, among others measures.
“In these circumstances the flights next weekend probably will be interrupted,” said Biro.
The canceled flights are those that were intended for: Bariloche, Iguazú, Salta, two at Córdoba, Neuquén and Tucumán.
