Six Cuban political prisoners arrives in Spain

The first six political prisoners freed by the Government of Cuba are Omar Ruiz Hernández, Antonio Vilarreal Acosta, Julio César Gálvez, José Luis García Paneque, Ricardo González Alfonso, Lester Gonzalez Penton, who had been sentenced to 15 and 24 years of prison.
Thanks to Catholic Church mediation and because they agreed to move to Spain arrived shortly after 1 pm on a scheduled flight from Havana to Barajas airport.
According to the Cuban Commission for Human Rights and National Reconciliation “the six prisoners travelled with health problems and their situation was incompatible with their stay in prison, as well as their families.”
Seventh prisoner Pablo Pacheco Avila will arrive shortly after 2:00 pm on another flight business and with the company of his family.
Former Cuban President Fidel Castro did not comment on this topic in his appearance on public television.
