South Africa 2010: Nominations for the FIFA World Cup’s closing

FIFA gave the names of the ten nominees to win the Golden Ball for World Cup 2010:
The Uruguayan Diego Forlan, the Argentine Lionel Messi, the Spanish Iniesta, Villa and Xavi, the Ghanaian Gyan, the Germans Scweinsteiger and Özil and the Dutchmen Robben and Sneijder.
World Cup Best Young Player: the German Thomas Müller, the Ghanaian Ayew and the Mexican Giovanni Dos Santos.
The referee of the World Cup final between Netherlands and Spain will be the English Howard Webb, and it is the fourth game he will lead in South Africa. The referee had a full year because he also refereed the final of the Champions League of Europe in May.
The Mexican Benito Archundia will referee the match for the third place match between Germany and Uruguay.
Nelson Mandela, of 92 years old, in a delicate health condition, will be responsible for delivering the next Sunday’s World Cup to the crowned the country, and will attend the Soccer City stadium, but the president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter said that “if he comes and stays until the end is likely to deliver the Cup.”
Recall that the former South African president did not attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup because of the tragic death of his granddaughter in a car accident the night before the inauguration.
