Spain makes history and reaches its first final in the World Cup

Spain beat Germany 1-0 with goal by defender Carles Puyol in the second semifinal of the 2010 World Cup. Spain will face Holland in a final that will leave a new world champion.
Vicente del Bosque and Löw presented different schemes. Spain had the possession of the ball and Germany pulled back.
However, the Spanish couldn’t pass that dominion over the score. Villa had a great chance after Pedro’s assistance but Neuer saved superbly. Some long range shots brought some risk in German’s side but with no real damage.
Germany, far from overwhelming team owner of the ball against Argentina, ceded possession to Spain. However, they had some opportunities with counterattacks.
In the second half the Spanish put even more pressure and Neuer had to appear again in the match. The Good German goalkeeper responded to the tops by Xavi Alonso, Villa and Pedro.
At minute 28th, Spain found the goal after a corner kick. Barcelona’s Carles Puyol appeared alone and beat Neuer with a header to 1-0.
Spain reach their first final in the history of the World Cup, and will face Holland, team that never win in the previous finals that disputed. This way, there will be a new champion in 2010 World Cup.
